Eco-Kid, organics for kids, is a line of organic, ecologically responsible, toxin-free hair and body care products from Australia that is now being distributed in Canada. Started by hairdresser Peter Francis, who desperately sought chemical-free, gentle hair care alternatives for his two young children, this line of products has quickly expanded to be one of the first all natural, fun to use, internationally known brands.
Along with Scalp Care Shampoos, Conditioners, Leave-In Conditioners and Body Washes, the line also features notable products such as an all natural, safe to use Lice Bomb, Bug Spray without Deet and chemical free Bubble Bath.
Peter Francis, hairdresser, trichologist (scalp & hair expert) and father of two
found himself searching but unable to find high-quality organic hair and
body products for his two young children. Taking matters into his own hands,
Francis researched and discovered that kidsí scalps produce almost six times
less oil on a daily basis than adults, and that kids were much more sensitive
to perfumes, artificial colouring and preservatives. Francis decided to create
an organic product line made just for kids that he felt comfortable using on
his own family.
eco.kid is formulated specifically for children between the ages of 3 and 12
and the special needs of their young hair and skin. Hair care products are
all formulated to help reduce the incidence of lice and eco.kidsí Lice Bomb
for head lice effectively kills lice and their eggs without harsh chemicals or
nasty smells. Prevent shampoo, Nourish conditioner and Bubbalicious styling
wax round out the the basis for eco.kidís hair care line, while Call Me Bubbles
bubble bath, Outback Jack outdoor spray and Potion Lotion body lotion
make up the body product line.
eco.kid was born from a fatherís belief that there is a better way to care
for kidsí hair and skin. Ingredients are derived from nature, packaging is
recyclable and formulations are biodegradable. Parents can now feel
confident that theyíre using products that are safe for their kids and the
future of the earth their kids live on.
