Sep 29, 2011
Poutini's will be joining in on the excitement of Nuit Blanche, as the popular eatery will be open until 5am on Saturday, October 1. Art lovers, artists and hungry night owls will also have the chance to enjoy two specials: Beef Burgundy and Caramelized Onions & Mushrooms. As part of the all-night contemporary art event, the restaurant's entrance will be adorned with an elaborate light canopy installation created by Poutini's employee and artist, Georgina Walker.
Poutini's is proud to be among 100 chefs from all over Canada who are pledging their support to protect precious Ontario farmland and water. Join us as we take part in Foodstock, which will raise funds to fight a proposed mega quarry in Melancthon Township. The event is pay-what-you-can with a suggested minimum donation of $10. Expect amazing food and great music provided by Sarah Harmer, Jim Cuddy, Hayden, and more!

HAND-CUT FRIES, SQUEAKY CURD, REAL GRAVY:
Poutini's fries are hand-cut, in-house daily, with the potato skin on and fried twice, Belgian style. Cheese curds arrive fresh from Ontario's Maple Dale Farms to maintain their squeakiness. Poutini's Traditional, Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free gravies are all made in-house everyday. The Vegan Poutine is topped with Daiya vegan cheese, the most delicious dairy-free cheese on the market. Specialty poutines include the Bacon Poutine which can also be topped with family-tapped maple syrup, The Works Poutine with sour cream, bacon & chives, and the Slow-Roasted BBQ Pulled Pork Poutine. Diners have the choice between the Regular size or a small-sized serving, also known as the Teeny Weeny Tiny Poutini.

"Poutini's has a strong commitment to local, sustainable food, so it was important to us to be a part of Foodstock. We stand united with other chefs and Ontario farmers in fighting this proposed mega quarry. Taters not craters!"
