Canadian Men's National Volleyball Team to host Cuba for exhibition series in Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City in August
The Canadian Men’s National Volleyball Team will be hosting the Cuban National Volleyball team for a series of exhibition matches in Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City in August.
For both teams, these exhibition matches will serve as preparation for the 2010 World Championship being held in Italy this September.
Cuba, currently ranked 9th in the world, has had success at the America’s Cup 2008 in Brazil, where they won the gold medal. Last year, the Cubans won the 2009 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship in Puerto Rico and finished in second place at the 2009 FIVB Men's Grand Champions Cup in Japan.

L’équipe nationale masculine de volleyball recevra l’équipe de Cuba pour une série de matchs d’exhibitions à Toronto, Ottawa et Québec
L'équipe nationale masculine de volleyball de Cuba viendra au Canada pour jouer une série de matchs d’exhibitions du 24 au 28 août contre notre équipe nationale masculine.
Cette série de matchs d’exhibitions contre les cubains aidera à la préparation des deux équipes en vue Championnat Mondial 2010, qui se tiendra en Italie au mois de septembre.
Cuba, présentement au 9ème rang du classement mondial, a obtenu un bon résultat lors de la Coupe des Amériques 2008 au Brésil, remportant la médaille d’or. L’année dernière, les cubains ont gagné le Championnat de volleyball NORCECA masculin 2009 à Porto Rico et ont terminé en deuxième position à la Coupe masculine FIVB 2009 des grands champions au Japon.
