TORONTO, ON – July 19th, 2010: YOUTH DAY 2010 has moved to its new home at YONGE-DUNDAS SQUARE on Sunday, JULY 25th with an expectant attendance more than 12,000 visitors this 4th annual, and a demographic with eager Municipal Candidates and Politicians unplugged; an unprecedented 400+ youth performers and their proud families, as this year we also set a World Record to THE TWIST on its 50th anniversary with everyone joining in and being officiated by KPMG, to “keep the party going Canada”. A “good news story” for Toronto – and it’s FREE!
Public television figures such as CTV News Anchor Ken Shaw, who will introduce inspiring Olympic Athletes; the Team from New FLOW 93.5 emceeing; and to close the exciting day, MTV host Nicole Holness, will all make for a memorable day in TO.
Other supporting and influential celebrities include Award Winning Director Lil X, JUNO nominee Kim Davis performing, and a host of established and upcoming artists that attract visitors from as wide as Ottawa, to Quebec, to the United States.
Lets encourage everyone in our City to come out and applaud the incredible talents of our young performers, as they showcase their music, dance, art & photography for a full day of cultural variety with a focus on their passion.
NOTE: A YONGE-STREET CLOSURE from DUNDAS to SHUTER has been granted.

ABOUT YOUTH DAY 2010:
Founded by TYLAINE DUGGAN, YOUTH DAY engages young artists to find their passion in the arts, and provides for a free venue where they can demonstrate their talent. The annual celebration deemed the “Largest Youth Festival of its Kind”, is held in memory of Chair Emeritus GINO EMPRY, and has found a new home at YONGE-DUNDAS SQUARE in the heart of the City of Toronto - the busiest intersection in Canada. Attendance this year is expected to exceed 12,000 as YOUTH DAY 2010 is also setting a WORLD RECORD for the largest public participation to THE TWIST, supported by Canadian Hall of Fame inductee and Order of Canada recipient BOBBY CURTOLA and his friend CHUBBY CHECKER.
